About the CSA

As one of the major service providers of the University, the Center for Student Affairs (CSA) exists primarily to facilitate the delivery of basic services that are concerned with the academic support experiences of students to attain holistic development.

 

The Office is under the leadership of a Director who supervises the offices directly handling the Student Activities, Gender and Development (GAD), Scholarships, and Discipline.

Vision

Servant-leaders with Christian values and integrity fully aware of socio-political realities to effect change which is responsive to the needs of the community.

 Mission

  1. the development of a well-rounded personality;
  2. the pursuit of practicing Christian values;
  3. the continuous formation of student leaders;
  4. the conscientization of the socio-political activities.

 Goals

  • design programs for the development of the total person;
  • get involved in socio-political activities.

Services Offered

1. Student Activities

The Office of Student Activities complements the academic training of the students through   its relevant developmental programs designed to enhance the students’ potentials and skills.

The office spearheads the planning and execution of programs for the development of recognized campus student organization officers and members through leadership trainings, office bearers’ course, and team-building workshops. It also recommends the recognition of student campus organizations every first semester of the  every academic year.

The office oversees all co-curricular and extra-curricular activities involving students and their organizations. The distribution of any reading materials to students, survey questionnaires and the like, requires approval from the Office of Student Activities.

2. Student Development Services

Student Organizations. These are organized groups of students sharing common interests, objectives, philosophy, and operational activities not contrary to laws, morals, and university rules and regulations.  Furthermore, a student organization must be non-partisan and non-political in all exercises inside and outside the school campus.

Discipline

The Office of Discipline monitors the implementation of the rules and regulations of the  university and oversees proper student behavior inside and outside the campus in coordination with the security personnel.

The office supervises the students’ activities and enforces school policies affecting   disciplinary matters.

The office makes preliminary investigations on all reported cases of misbehavior and imposes appropriate sanctions for minor offenses.  In cases of major offenses, the office elevates the matter to the Disciplinary Board and/or Committee on Decorum and Investigation for due process.
