New Students and Freshmen Enrollment

A. Admission

Step 1                 

For new students (SHS graduates), prepare photocopies of the following required credentials:

  1. Report Card
  2. Good Moral Certificate
  3. PSA/NSO Issued Birth Certificate
  4. Recent 2 x 2 Colored ID Photo with white background

Step 2 

Get a copy of the Student Information Form (SIF) and Data Privacy Agreement from the guard on duty or designated enrollment assistant at the following locations:

  • HNU Main Entrance Gate (G1)
  • Bates Building Lobby
  • Office of the University Registrar

Fill out the SIF, sign the Data Privacy Agreement, and submit it along with your credentials to the Office of the University Registrar located in the Bates Building.   

Step 3 

The University Registrar evaluates and reviews the submitted credentials and Student Information Form. Office staff proceeds to encode your student information and provide you with your Student ID Number and initial password to the HNUMIS.

Step 4

Pay the Php 800.00 Registration Fee at the Teller located in the Bates Building Lobby.


B. Enrollment

Step 1

Go to any of the designated computer laboratories in the Bates Building or you can enroll through your mobile device by accessing the campus WiFi.

Go to https://mis.hnu.edu.ph/ and click the Student button. Log in using your Student ID Number and Password.

Step 2

On the dashboard, click Enrollment tab. 

Step 3

Select the subjects to enroll from the Course Offerings panel (left side). Enrolled subjects will appear on the right panel.

Step 4

After selecting the subjects, click Academics > My Academics > Schedule > Download Class Schedule as PDF to download a copy of your class schedule.

Step 5

You are now officially enrolled after selecting and completing your academic load (schedule of classes). Allow 1-2 days to see your official HNU email address in your HNUMIS Account. The official email address will be used in Google Classroom. In the meantime, please read the HNU EDGE Getting Started with Google Classroom and HNU EDGE Google Classroom Student Guide found in your HNUMIS Account.


C. Google Classroom

When your Official HNU Email Address is available, sign in to your Google Classroom account at https://classroom.google.com/ using your HNU Email Address and the initial password with the following pattern: <Surname(lowercase)><Student ID Number>. For example, the surname is Protacio and the ID Number is 01234567, the password is protacio01234567. Change your initial password soon after signing in.

D. Support

For enrollment concerns, email the University Registrar at registrar@hnu.edu.ph.

For HNU MIS account concerns, email the HNU MIS Support Team at mis@hnu.edu.ph.

For Google Classroom or online classes concerns, email HNU EDGE Support Team at edge_support@hnu.edu.ph.

For financial concerns, email the Accounting Department at accounting@hnu.edu.ph.

E. Request for a New HNUMIS or HNU Google Account Password

To request for a new password for either your HNUMIS or Google Account, send an email to mis@hnu.edu.ph with Subject Line: Request for Password for HNUMIS (or Google Account). In the email body, please indicate the following information for verifications purposes:

  • Student ID Number
  • Full Name
  • Course and Year
  • Birth Date, and
  • Mother’s Full Maiden Name

Allow 1-2 days to respond to your request. Best response times will be from Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM; and Saturdays, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM except holidays.

Enrollment Requirements

 

Preschool | Kindergarten | Grade 1

Incoming Preschool, Kindergarten and Grade 1

  • Original copy of NSO/PSA Birth Certificate
  • Photocopy of Baptismal Certificate
  • K-1 Report Card or Form 138 (Grade 1 only)
  • Entrance Diagnostic Test (Grade 1 only)
  • Photocopy of Medical Certificate
  • 3 pcs. of 2x2 or Passport Size ID picture

Admission Policy

 

Students of any nationality, religious belief, political affiliation and social group are welcome to Holy Name University (HNU). Student’s application for admission will be given due course in compliance to the policies of the Department of Education (Dep Ed) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). The university , however, earns the right at any time to refuse, to admit , or to readmit under certain conditions.
